鼎宝福彩Grey’s Anatomy: Saying Goodbye To Cristina

Grey’s Anatomy: Saying Goodbye To Cristina

Posted by Dustin on 04。25。2014 at 10:01 pm

So I’m gunna need “Grey’s Anatomy” to get out of this depressive slump it’s in right now. It was really moving at first, but Shonda now has a record setting amount of dying kids at the hospital. What is with her and killing off kids? Seriously? I mean I know she loves to do it, but this is just too much. At least write in a Fred Phelps patient or something woman!

First up, the family that got dealt hand of genetic suckage cards with three kids with bad hearts 。 。 。 this was just a new low for Shonda。 The minute they entered there was 1) no happy ending and 2) a lawsuit waiting to happen。 Of course this week Cristina had to make a choice as to what to do with the one donor heart, and one kid died! Seriously, I just can’t anymore, stop! New idea, next season no kids die!

Cristina lost the Harper Avery Award, but as it turned out she didn’t。 Richard, preparing to propose to Katherine, found out that Cristina won but that politics prevented her from actually winning。 Because she works in a hospital owned partly by the foundation, she simply couldn’t win as it would look like favoritism。 Wow! I was seriously pissed。 Then why even nominate her? Oh as Richard pointed out, to toot their own horn! I loved seeing Richard tell Katherine off and then go blow the whistle to Hunt, who told Cristina。 Honestly, when this gets around 。 。 。 how does the hospital plan to attract any new groundbreaking doctors or students if they can’t win such a prestigious award in their industry? Dumb dumb dumb! I also wonder what this means for Cristina’s future? Obviously this will be a major reason she leaves, but she owns part of the hospital! Will she have to give that up too?

鼎宝福彩We seem to be at a point of Deja Vous with April and Jackson. After a huge blowout about religion, April moved out. Jackson tried to repair things, but now she’s pregnant. We can only assume this time it’s for real, which means real issues in terms of them coming to an understanding. I’ve always loved these two, but right now I just don’t. I want to smack them both and I really want Katherine to stay out of there business! Damn you Shonda for now making me hate Miss Debbie Allen!

The bubble boy’s parents decided to not take Miranda up on her suggestion to try and cure him with a deactivated HIV virus 。 。 。 but by the end of the episode you just know she did it without their consent。 Who does she think she is? Meredith or Izzie? Speaking of the later, I’d really like to see Izzie come back at this point just because I think it would be an amazing turn。 I mean if we can bring Burke back for an episode, we can get her back!

In spite of the morbid kid killing going on as of late, I absolutely love the kickin 80s soundtrack we’ve got going on as of late, even if it is all remakes of the originals.

鼎宝福彩ABC’s breakout hit is coming to an end。 The show is pretty likely to be renewed though。 I still can’t figure out what in the heck is happening。 I’m sticking with my theory that the returned represent sins or something like that。

Devious Maids Season 2 Mysteries!

Devious Maids Season 2 Mysteries!

Posted by Dustin on 04。23。2014 at 8:46 pm

So “Devious Maids” is back, and there are two main mysteries this season. Let’s get to the drama!

Rosie is back, actually she never left。 She was held in detention and finally set free pending a formal hearing on whether or not to deport her。 Spence and Peri hadn’t heard from her in months, and of course were shocked when she came back。 Peri was really shocked actually。 Nobody has figured out it was Peri who turned her in, and now Peri is plotting to get pregnant to hold onto Spence。 She’s even told him she’s pregnant when she’s not。 Oh brother, this plot is so overdone! Pillow baby anyone? Rosie however thinks this is God’s answer to her questions and has broken things off with Spence completely。

Carmen and Alejandro are married and she has let the fake marriage go to her head, and Odessa put her in her place when she kept treating her like the maid。 I love Odessa so much and just wanted to smack Carmen throughout this episode。

Valentina broke up with Remi and ditched him in the Amazon, where he was doing some habitat for humanity thing, to return home。 She’s still upset with her mom and has now taken a job as Evelyn and Adrian’s maid。 Oh brother! Meanwhile the Powels and friends were robbed at gunpoint during a dinner party。 The robbers pawned some of the jewels, gave the rest away to the homeless and also gave out the cash they got for the jewels to the homeless。 Very interesting, and mystery number one! What are they up to, and who are they?

The burglary has Adrian shaking like a leaf, and Evelyn HATES weak men. Fortunately a nice strong and often shirtless bodyguard has been assigned to watch over them, and Evelyn likes what she sees a little too much. Can we say role reversal?

Marisol is now engaged to the very dashing and very rich Nicholas Deering。 If he looks familiar, he’s the gay rancher/cowboy from “GCB。” Unfortunately he comes with a creepy maid named Opal and her equally creepy son Ethan。 Ethan is working as a pool boy for the Delatours, and Valentina seems to like him。 Yup, love triangle whenever Remi gets his butt back home。 I have a feeling that Ethan may be behind the robbery of the Powels。

Nicholas, Ethan and Opal have their own secret. The show opened ten years ago with Nicholas’ first wife learning some secret of Nicholas’ that she planned to tell someone. She ran off; and Nicholas, Opal and Ethan (who was just a kid) followed and confronted her on a bridge. It seems that Nicholas ended up pushing her off, and then they all claimed to the cops she was distraught and jumped. Why are Opal and Ethan keeping this secret? What is the truth? It’s mystery number 2!

Once Upon A Time: Time Travel Stories = Plot Holes!

Once Upon A Time: Time Travel Stories = Plot Holes!

Posted by Dustin on 04。21。2014 at 5:59 pm

鼎宝福彩So I never wrote up a blog on last week’s “Hook-centric” episode。 It was fun, and I enjoyed it。 The big twist was that Zelena cursed Hook’s lips so that the next time he kissed Emma he’d strip her of her magic。 Clearly her new curse can’t go through while Emma has her magic。 So far Hook hasn’t done it, but she’s threatening to kill Henry, Snow and everyone else Emma loves one by one if he stalls too long。

鼎宝福彩This week we got a lot closer to figuring out Zelena’s plans. We knew she was planning to go back in time and get rid of Regina so that she was the one Rumple tutored, but it’s actually much more. Zelena managed to get Regina’s heart from Robin, but she still doesn’t have Snow’s baby. It seems Snow’s baby is the last thing she needs, and as Snow pointed out . . . they are running out of time as the baby is gunna come any day now.

Regina cast a spell to conjure up Cora’s ghost to get the truth as to what happened with Zelna. We learned Cora was a bar maid, met a man, fell in love, and he proposed claiming to be a prince. They made love and she got knocked up, only to learn he was the gardner for Prince Leopold (Snow’s father). She was furious, but soon set her sights on Leopold. Cora really has always been about gaining power and status. Leopold was planning to spurn Princess Eva (Snow’s mother), the woman he’s been betrothed to since birth, for Cora. Unfortunately the gardner learned of Cora’s plan and he wouldn’t leave unless she paid him off. Unfortunately Eva heard the gardner blackmailing Cora, and she reported to Leopold about Cora and her child. Leopold then caught Cora stealing jewels to pay off her baby daddy and threw her out.

So Leopold went on to marry Ava, while Cora was out in the cold。 She dumped Zelena after her birth, and Zelena got transported to Oz in a magic tornado。 The rest we know。 Cora went on to marry Henry, had Regina and then conspired to basically punish Ava and Leopold using her daughter to do so。

In Storybrooke’s present, Gold is still Zelena’s servant. She’s promised him that if her spell goes through, that he’ll have his son back, he’ll have never died as all this will be erased. Gold doesn’t trust her and has vowed to see her dead. He even tried to seduce her and get his dagger back, but failed. Meanwhile Belle reported to Snow, Emma and Regina that she’s figured out Zelena’s plan. The ingredients are a time travel spell, she’s going back in time. Regina realizes it’s to kill Ava so that Cora marries Leopold and becomes Rumple’s pupil, she’ll have everything she felt she was denied. Therefore Snow, Emma and yes even Regina will never have been born.

Okay wait wait wait . . . this just isn’t gunna fly. This right here is why time travel story-lines are too problematic! I have been picking this apart all day. I know, it’s TV, I should just accept it and move on. However I just can’t! The spurned Cora sought out Gold (or he sought her out? I can’t remember) but both used each other. Cora used Gold’s magic to get the power she wanted, the position she wanted and eventually the revenge she wanted. Cora wasn’t powerful enough to cast Gold’s curse (I think?) which is why he turned to Regina. However he had to let Regina believe the curse was her idea and what she wanted, as Regina too was out for revenge and to benefit herself. Basically without the context of Cora being spurned by Leopold, so much would have been changed in the past that Rumple may not be able to use them for his curse! They would have been a happy content family, what could Rumple offer or tempt them with? Why would he have even sought them out? There may have been another he could have used and abused.

Grrrrrr! I’m also mad that Zelena’s father turned out to be a nobody。 It does however make her easier to get rid off for good。

Below is the preview for next week’s episode which gives a glimpse into what happened to cast the first part of the new curse。

Parenthood Season Finale: The Times Are A Changing

Parenthood Season Finale: The Times Are A Changing

Posted by Dustin on 04.18.2014 at 4:49 pm

So last night was the “Parenthood” season finale, and in some ways it seemed like it could serve as the series finale, should it not be renewed. Everyone was more or less left with a happy ending. Erika Christensen (Julia) was actually on “Access Hollywood” yesterday and said she did not believe the show would be canceled. She said that NBC loves the show, and if there was a chance of it being canceled then the network would have been given a heads up to the show in order to make this the series finale. Still, it seemed like it could be a finale if need be. She also said that when she and Sam Jaeger (Joel) were told about the separation and affair that they begged the writers not to do the storyline. The two are good friends in life and were as heartbroken as the fans over it.

So the big stories were some reconciliations, or possible ones. Amber seems to be taking Ryan back after his accident. We finally met his drunk mother, and he was about to go with her off to Indiana as he’s been discharged from the army for “medical” reasons. That’s a nice way of saying he’s an addict from PTSD. Amber seems to feel sorry for him and doesn’t want him to go, though he doesn’t want to burden her with taking care of him anymore. There was an odd scene at the end of Amber buying a pregnancy test. Um, when did THAT happen? Those hospital rooms aren’t that private!

Victor won an essay contest at school, and that seemed to bring Joel and Julia closer. That, and Sydney throwing yet another tantrum. Man can that kid scream! By the end of the episode they shared a touching hand holding moment, however at the very end for the backyard Braverman dinner, Joel was not with Julia. We don’t know if she told him that she totally boned the teacher she’ll be working closely with at Adam and Kristina’s new school. Awkward!

The last reunion was Sarah and Hank apparently giving their relationship another shot. Maybe they won’t screw things up this time?

鼎宝福彩Zeke revealed the car he’s been fixing up all season was a present for Drew, who took off in it to see his girlfriend who went home to Portland. Meanwhile Haddie came home with her “best friend” from school, who was really her girlfriend. She never said that she was gay or lesbian, she simply admitted to her mom that they were dating and she’d never felt like this way in a relationship before. Adam figured things out on his own and was also supportive. I kinda hate that Max ruined her big coming out moment to her parents by seeing Haddie and her girlfriend kissing and telling Kristina.

I really hope that the show will continue, even though it tends to drive me absolutely bonkers most of the time.

Glee: Mercedes is BACK!

Glee: Mercedes is BACK!

Posted by Dustin on 04.16.2014 at 8:54 pm

As with some other shows, it’s been awhile since I blogged about “Glee.” I have still been watching, and I’m starting to feel that “Love and Feeling” for the show again . . . kinda. The big jump to New York has happened, and we’ve advanced a few months since graduation. Apparently though we aren’t done with McKinley yet. Ryan Murphy has recently revealed we will go back there for the final season for closure, and I believe we may go back one more time this season based on comments Dot Marie Jones (Beastie) made on a recent “Access Hollywood” episode . . . unless she was referring to scenes for the final season. I don’t know. She said back in March when I watched that she was still slated to tape a few more episodes.

I loved Puck and Quinn ending up together, that seemed right. I was glad to see Britney return, but then she stole Santana and now they are on a lesbian-a-go-go vacation for who knows how long! I’d love to see them back for next season.

鼎宝福彩What I’m loving the most is the return of Mercedes Jones. The loss of her was a huge mistake, and I’m glad it’s been rectified. Love me some Mercedes! I also like that she and Sam are back together, and that Sam has a decent haircut for once.

I was not a fan of Artie the film school playa storyline。 I thought it was totally out of character and made light of a serious issue, safe sex。 Yeah it was funny I admit, but the STD costume joke got old fast and it didn’t really work turning Artie into a pimp。

I find myself completely over Kurt and Blaine. At least one of these high school romances has to come to an end, and I think it will be theirs. I’m actually okay with that. They were pretty much all they had in Lima, Ohio, and now that they are in the big city they are seeing there are other options available. Can we bring back the cute English guy Kurt was dating? Or hook him up with Starchild?

Finally, I am hating Rachel being her diva-like usual self. I thought she would have outgrown this, but nope. Now she’s dropped out of Nyada, which will be a huge mistake. It was pretty much the writing on the wall that her show, and career, are doomed. The original ending of the show, per Ryan Murphy’s many statement on this, was to have Finn take over the glee club and Rachel return a big star, but choose Finn and Lima over fame. I now have a feeling it will be Rachel returning home and resurrecting the glee club at McKinley will newly appointed Principle Will Shuester’s blessing.

Grey’s Anatomy Thoughts . . . .

Grey’s Anatomy Thoughts . . . .

Posted by Dustin on 04。14。2014 at 6:50 pm

So it’s been awhile since I posted about “Grey’s Anatomy.” My apologies, I know I’ve been neglecting this blog and specifically certain shows. Work has kept me busy, and it doesn’t help that 50% of the shows I watch are now piled on Sundays and Mondays!

I have been liking a lot of the recent episodes. The fact that they are going back to storyline arcs that are carrying over from episode to episode is a plus. The stand-alone Christina episode I just thought was pretty boring. I hate to say this, but I don’t think I’m really going to miss her when she goes. They’ve made it hard to like her lately. Sure she ends up having those likable moments, but she’s just been more self-absorbed than ever before.

News broke awhile back that both Shane and Leah are out after this season. I can’t say I will miss them at all. With Christina leaving, Shane’s at a dead end at the hospital, and Leah doomed herself with all the lawsuits and complaints against the hospital. Don’t let the door hit you on the way out! I still can’t believe we had to lose Heather in all of this. I hope Shane get’s his comeuppance for that.

Both Patrick Dempsey and Ellen Pompeo (Derek and Meredith) renewed their contracts for two more years。 It’s long been expected both would leave, but it seems that isn’t happening anytime soon。 Of course ABC has yet to renew the show, but I doubt they are going to cancel it。

Arizona and Callie have been working on repairing their marriage by buying a house, and now planning to have another kid。 I just can’t help but feel they are trying to convince themselves they are blissfully happy and it’s all going to come crashing down around them。

Alex is entertaining leaving the hospital and going into private practice. Say it ain’t so! I wonder if this is in anticipation of his character possibly also leaving the hospital? His contract is up for renewal, as are a few others . . . . You know Shonda Rhimes isn’t going to settle for us just losing Christina. Someone has to die or be left hanging on, otherwise it’s not a proper “Grey’s Anatomy” season finale.

The storyline with Lacey from “The Client List” as the mom of all the kids with the heart disease has been heartbreaking。 The HIV transplant story just annoyed me。 Sadly the kid in the bubble storyline makes me think of that horrible 70s movie with John Travolta。

鼎宝福彩Parenthood Season Finale: Mind Blown!

Parenthood Season Finale: Mind Blown!

Posted by Dustin on 04.10.2014 at 11:10 pm

Ahhhhahhhhhahhhhhahhhhhh! I just finished tonight’s episode, which I will blog about tomorrow most likely along with last week’s episode. The previews for next week’s episode however BLEW MY MIND! I rewound (is that word applicable with DVRs?) the preview several times and couldn’t figure out who the “lesbians” were. I thought . . . Haddie? But that doesn’t look like Haddie! But from the official spoilers (below) . . . it’s Haddie!

All this time it seemed like we were going there with Drew, and then they pull this! Wow! Well at least we don’t have to watch her in a boring storyline like we did before.

Oh and her hair looks gooooooood finally!

Resurrection: After Last Night . . . I Have Nothing!

Resurrection: After Last Night . . . I Have Nothing!

Posted by Dustin on 04。07。2014 at 6:19 pm

So “Resurrection” has just completely stumped me at this point. I got nothing! Tom’s dead ex-girl friend is back. We learned she committed suicide, but she’s somewhat fuzzy on why. Maggie learned that she (Rachel the Ex) was pregnant, which seemed to shock her. Did she forget this? Everyone else seems to have all their memories in tact, though Caleb lied about his. Is this why she committed suicide? If so, a bigger question is who the father is. You would think if it’s Tom’s that she wouldn’t have done this.

Caleb has been in jail, has not been talking much, but finally revealed that more were coming, more than they could imagine。 By the end of the episode, Caleb just vanished in front of Agent Bellamy’s eyes。 He just got warped out of there like in Star Trek! He seemed to be in pain right before it happened。 Bellamy worried Jacob and the others could go too, but so far they haven’t。 However Jacob didn’t seem surprised to learn Caleb was gone 。 。 。 。

I just got nothing 。 。 。 nothing! No words to explain the warp out! I do wonder if the town name is a clue。 Arcadia is a real place in Greece, but also considered to be “Paradise on Earth” by some。 It was also mentioned by Dante in some of his plays。 I’m wondering if the people who are returning in some way shape or form all symbolize virtues and sins of some kind?
