A Smorgasbord Of Show Thoughts!

A Smorgasbord Of Show Thoughts!

I have fallen so behind because of other things, so this is a giant post of quick thoughts on many shows!

On the latest “Grimm” we learned a whole lot about what is going on. The Grimm had, supposedly, been working with a class of purist “royal” monsters that the police Chief apparently seems to be a part of. While this class had traditionally been only in Europe, they’ve clearly branched out. It seems they are dedicated to not only causing problems in the world, but keeping the humans and the monsters separate. An underground revolution movement is in place, but Nick was warned in this episode a war was coming that would forever tip the balance. What we still don’t know is which side the captain is on! He seems to be playing both sides at the moment? I am hoping he is on the side of good, maybe I’m hoping too much?

鼎宝福彩On “Smash,” Ivy weaseled her way back into the play, hoping to take over from Uma Thurman’s clearly flop of a character。 However by the end of the latest episode, the “star” shone! Which of course makes Ivy’s job of getting the role back a little more difficult。 Just an episode ago, I thought Ivy and Karen were getting along so well。 Now she’s back to being a royal diva b…。。 Oh and Tom got dumped by his republican boyfriend because he had gaga eyes for Ivy’s gay “straight” bff。 Other thoughts 。 。 。 What is Nick’s secret? (The guy Eileen likes)。 And will Dev cheat on Karen with that co-worker?

I am still watching “Awake” believe it or not. At this point I’m starting to wonder . . . is this all in his head? Is he laying in a coma somewhere, the real victim of the car accident? How will this all end?

“The Client List” is only 2 episodes in, but I am liking it. I see it’s moving to a one client only focused episode, where Melinda . . . I mean, what’s her name, helps some ghost . . . I mean lonely man solve the problem haunting him.

I absolutely LOVED the disco episode of “Glee.” OMG, Unique! Unique needs to join the Glee club at McKinley high for next season. So far Unique has been the best one yet from the “Project Glee” characters.

鼎宝福彩Finally I watched the first three episodes of “The Big C” online for the season. I was shocked that Paul lived, but happy. For the first several minutes of the premier I was sure Paul was a ghost, but he’s not. He’s real. Then there is Andrea, who has changed her name to Ababoo. I love her so much! However I am getting this feeling she’s now in love with Shawn . . . not good!

Weeds and The Big C Return!

Last night “Weeds” and “The Big C” returned on Showtime。 I actually stopped watching “Weeds” halfway through last season。 The whole “on the run” storyline annoyed me and bored me at the same time。 So why I watched the season premier I don’t know。 I did enjoy it, the relocation of Nancy to New York 。 。 。 soon to be followed by her friends and family coming home from Denmark where they’ve been hiding。 I’ll probably keep watching for a bit 。 。 。 till I end up annoyed again 🙂 They supposedly killed off Esteban and Nancy is safe and all that jazz now 。 。 。 。 but I also read somewhere that it would turn out Pilar isn’t dead。 I hope that’s not so, cause enough with the Mexican Drug Cartel stuff!

On “The Big C” the show is now in the fall, not having moved too far forward from last year, which was the summer. I loved that even though she’s dead, Marlene is still on the show as a ghost . . . or at least a figment of Cathy’s imagination. I was devastated when they killed her off last year! I loved the premier, but as usual I missed her favorite problem student with an attitude Andrea.

The Big C – Post Season Thoughts

The Big C – Post Season Thoughts

Just some thoughts on “The Big C,” which finished it’s first season this Monday。 I watched the whole thing, though often forgot about it and had to watch on demand。 However I just loved it!

鼎宝福彩Some brief thoughts on the show and the season . . . .

I never thought Kathy and Paul would get back together, nor did I really want to see them together, but it was sweet that they did in the end. At the same time, it’s clear her doctor is confused over his feelings for her . . . I sense a possible triangle in the future perhaps? I’m not sure as the season finale seemed to have Kathy and Paul in a good place.

I was not a fan much of Kathy’s brother’s storyline with Cynthia Nixon much. I didn’t get the need for it really. However at the end with them having a baby, it made some sense. As Kathy may be going out, a new life is coming in.

I missed Andrea the last few episodes, and would like to have seen some resolution to her character。 I’m guessing she completes Summer school。 I really hope she’s back next year, she was one of my favorites。

鼎宝福彩I was STUNNED that they killed Marlene! STUNNED! She was so funny, and I did not see it coming. I would like to see her back next year too, but I guess she’ll have to be a ghost. Maybe Kathy can see her at certain times, like when her treatment is making her weak.

The end with Adam finding all the car and all the presents his mom had been buying him was heartbreaking, yet perfect!

It will be a long wait till next season sadly。

Oh, I completely gave up on “Weeds.” I just lost the desire and honestly can’t believe at this point the show was renewed for yet another season.

So I haven’t posted about either of these shows in awhile, so I thought it was about time.

I thought “Weeds” started off great, but quickly became bored with the show. I can take it or leave it now. The family being on the run was fun at first, but now it seriously feels like the show has no stability. In fact that was addressed in the latest episode where little Ari/Stevie was ill and the doctor told Nancy babies need a stable routine otherwise they get sick.

I’m still loving “The Big C,” but it too has become a little depressing as of late。 It’s about terminal cancer, so that was expected。 The episode where she told Shawn she was dying and he broke down, then she took it back and pretended like she was joking was just devastating。

I am actually missing Andrea’s character on the show。 I think that actress is great and brings a lot to the show。 I was glad to see her back this week, if only briefly。

Last night was the 6th? season premier of “Weeds。” I have to say, if the rest of the season is anything like last night, it should be a good season。 I laughed out loud several times, mostly because Nancy was drunk the entire episode in order to deal with Shane killing Pilar。 Shane was also amazing with his calm, cool reaction 。 。 。 though possibly a future serial killer too。

鼎宝福彩Unfortunately there were some losses/downsides. We came into this season knowing Elizabeth Berkley/Celia had been written off, and now it looks like the housekeeper/nanny is gone along with Alanis/Audra. I HATED that Andy was such a wuss and lost Audra because he basically is Nancy’s lapdog. Though I guess this whole show the past few seasons has in a way been geared toward these two ending up together. I don’t think I want that though, and I hope Audra returns at some point.

“The C Word” . . . . Make that “The Big C” also premiered. Too many commercials for “The Real L Word” on showtime, confused my titles 🙂 I tuned in because I love Laura Linney, and she did not disappoint in this show. What should be a downer of a show given its subject matter is in fact clever and funny! Give it a try.
